4th Week?! WOW! Time sure does fly by when you're having fun! Be sure to be staying on top of your studies. The first round of STAAR Testing (8th grade Math, Reading) will be in 35 School Days!

4th Six Weeks - Week 3


This week is going to be another great week! This week will be important to be on task at all times since we have our Mini Common Assessment in the middle of the week. Also, be sure to be studying your vocabulary words this week because there will be a quiz this week!


Below is our week in a glance:

Monday: Verb Tenses 
Tuesday: Strong Verbs/Review for Mini Common Assessment 
Wednesday: Mini Common Assessment/ Assignment over all Lessons taught (if time allows) 
Thursday: Continue breaking down the English 1 STAAR Writing Essay Rubric
Friday: Students will grade Essays based on the Rubric covered in class. 



There will be no journals this week. 


Students that were absent last Friday (1/20/17) due to extracurricular activities will be presenting their menu in class on Tuesday (1/24/17.)

Students,

4th Six Weeks - Week 1


First and foremost -  HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I am more than excited to be starting another week of classes with you all. I hope that you all thoroughly enjoyed your holiday vacations.

The Fall semester did at times seem slow and long, but brace yourself for the Spring! The Spring semester runs at a faster pace with lots of distributions from state testings and other occasions.
